Today at 7AM I managed to reach the first host on Couchsurfing.org in Budapest - the total duration for the trip from Krakow was about 19h. The delay was caused by a conductor parcel with my cell phone in it which was sent to me from Warsaw. I picked it up yesterday morning Perhaps the cell will be useful if I intend to use Couchsurfing.
Traffic on the Polish-Slovakian border and Slovak-Hungarian was very poor. Travel fever is still strong especially at the beginning of the voyage. A thought crosses my mind, that actually I am a housebird, and I miss the warm quilt:) Especially at midnight on an empty gas station (I was about 30km north from Budapest).
