By chance I met an American, who pointed me a cheap accommodation place in Damascus. The more I listen to stories how the Americans are traveling I begin to see the reasons of their financial crisis -to much consumtption. We went to the "hammam" means bath, which is centuries years old. We also went to and ice cream shop which has 200 years of tradition. Damascus is beautiful and also cheap, at the moment there are almost no tourists, the hotels are empty. Politically - the situation seems to be under the control of the president and there won't be any changes here.
