Many things have happened lately. Hitchhiking shows absolutely no difficulties here. The day before we travelled to Palmyra (tea and breakfast in a Bedouin tent) in 4 people. 7 people in a car are no problem here, and we didn't have to wait longer than a few minutes. On the way to Palmyra and back - there's a police checkpoint -the police aren't always uniformed here, often with machine guns. Yesterday we got to Damascus, the city is awesome. All the time we're travelling in a 4-person international crew. Damascus is slightly like Palmyra -people are a bit spoiled by tourists - but generally it is a very cheap city. It's beautiful as well I fell in love with these narrow streets, which make a climate. I haven't seen anything alike anywhere. Tomorrow we expect there to be here an anti-governmental demonstration I hope I will see something interesting.
