12 September 2011

It was a long day. The day before yesterday (Saturday) I set off from Tbilisi. In the evening I reached the castle ruins in Khertvisi (near the border with Turkey) where one guy took me home for the night. Very cordial hospitality, sumptuous dinner, unfortunatelly I felt very embarassed when I had to refuse to drink the "medicine" ... If anybody wants to go to Georgia, must have either a strong head or strong principles;)
Yesterday I visited famous Vardzia, and some monasteries along the way, which also included a trip to the mountains and I've spent the night in a quite famous Borjumi park- famous for its mineral wates. This park has an outdoor pool with hot water (to get there one must go through the forest around 3 km), but as I got there around midnight, this water wasn't too warm, although I did have a bath. Today I wanted to be in Tbilisi by 9 am, so I got up around 4am (it was quite chilly), the first actuall volunteer day draged terribly and in the evening I had an impression that what happened in the morning was some other day ;)
