The day before yesterday- on Sunday-I thought I would get out of Batumi, but in the evening I met two cyclist friends from Poland (they arrived here from the Bishek in Kirgistan, from Batumi they're getting back by autostop / train), whom I met earlier in Tbilisi. Very unexpected encounter, all we thought about each other that we are all further I expected them to be in Poland already, and they though I would be back in Iran. They invited me for the night, so I gave up staying at the homeless shelter (apparently there is a high standard), maybe next time.
Yesterday still in Batumi, in the evening I wanted to take the overnight train (by the way - I consider paying for the transport when I'm on "stationary mode" like now in Tbilisi and before in Jerusalem), but unfortunately it was full. If I had known earlier I would've hitchhicked, but as it was so late I had to spend the unconvenient night in a bus.
Batumi is a very nice, many renovations and new constructions, but there are also lots of casinos and clubs. Entertainment is to attract the money ...
