Still Bangkok, for the first time I got stuck in one place like this not to do anything. To excuse myself I may add, I got a dehydrated a bit, lost a few kilos, general weakness, but it's nothing serious, I'm recovering. Tomorrow I'm going northwards. It's warm, over 35 Celsius degrees, and it's humid.
I've seen the city a bit, it's modern, although it managed to preserve it's style (skyscrapers as everywhere, but the riverbank, temples, palace are impressing). I've met a lot of people travelling, I'm surprised how often people search for travel companions. I'm better of on my own, although I of course like meeting people.
I've also met some people from Europe and USA working here, usually as English teachers(natives). I was especially surprised, by what Spanish people (met mainly in Calcutta) say about the situation in their country (25% unemployment, 50% among young people -it's cheaper to travel and search for a job abroad). Quo vadis Europe?
