11th June 2012

Johor Bahru, I'm here since two days ago, it's a city on the south end of the Malay peninsula, just next to Singapore. On the Langkawi Island most boats are docking here for a longer time, so I moved here as everyone advised. On the way I was passing by Kuala Lumpur, where i have friends and also where I met Mike from Poland -he made the whole way by hitchhicking and is also lookingf for a boat. A few days ago Maciej (also from Poland) answered my post I left in a marina, who also travelled the same way, and even was on a boat sailing towards Australia, but because of charachter differences he left it. So, it's getting crowded :) It seems that Polish national sport has become hitchhicking to the Malay peninsula, and searching for a boat from here (I heard not everyone succeeds). I may add that my CS host had quite a few guests from Poland, almost all of them hitchhicked to her house (it's a Polish trademark :D)
Yesterday was the first day in the marina, there's quite a few marinas here, but there's competition too :) Success seems to be a matter of luck and time...
I heard, that reading my blog one may have an impression I'm beeing lonely. Sometimes I did, but I figured out i feel much more comfortable on my own, and I've somehow tamed that feeling of being alone, supporting myself with prayer. Asa result if there's a lot of people around I miss have more privacy. And if there's something tiring in hitchhicking it's the nmber of encounters which are very brief and shallow, besides I don't like waiting.
