19th July 2012

Still Bandung, today I've comitted a "feux pas" when I wanted to receive a gift with my left hand. Always right! I forgot to mention, I've crossed the equator, since 2 weeks ago I'm on the southern hemoshere. Bandung is quite interesting, famous for its cuisine, I got stuck here mainly because of the great hospitality I\ve received here. Friendly travelers are far away ahead... yesterday I've managed to extend my visa, so by the 26th of August I have to evacuate (either Oz or East Timor).
I'm still amazed by Indonesia. People are very hospitable, they smile, greet, make pictures. Java is is quite crowded (40% nations population lives here, and it's the 4th most populated country in the world), traffic jams... muslim religion is dominating, but there are places where there are many Christians (islands east from Bali, especially Flores), or Hindus (Bali), the country is diverse. I'm learning the language -sometimes it's irritating when people instead of using their national "bahasa Indonesia" speak local languages.
