Phew, I'm again in Syria. Rumors of a confined boundary turned out to be exaggerated. Iranian visa in my passport reassured Syrian border service that I won/t stay here long and they didn't ask me too much about my plans. Jordan - a beautiful country but very dry and casting a shadow over my memory will be a frequency with which I was "asked" to pay for a ride. I've already started talks with drivers with a saying "ma andi flus" ( have no money). I'm trying to pick up some Arabic, it's very useful.
I have been welcomed very warmly by some Syrian family and had a dinner and was put up for a night but they didn't let me in (harem ?;) Tomorrow Damascus and then a monastery of Mar Musa. On the way I am a bit more animated, want to move quicker than so far.
